Dallas – The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning about packaging defects linked to some batches of soft drinks that were produced in New Zealand. Tempo reported that the defect is stated to potentially cause harm to consumers.

The warning was reportedly issued by the agency after reports were received that the manufacturer of the soft drinks, The Better Drinks Co. Ltd., which is located in Waitakere City, New Zealand, voluntarily recalled some of the beverages.
The FDA Advisory No. 2015-070 stated “Some bottles (of the affected products) have damaged rims and may possibly contain small glass particles.”

The recall affects multiple batches of Phoenix Brand soft drinks. A complete listing of the drinks affected by the recall can be found in the FDA advisory notice.
