Nebraska – A Texas man died after being involved in a traffic collision with a deer. The Associated Press reported that the Longview man was traveling on a motorcycle when it struck one or multiple deer in northwestern Nebraska.

 

The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 385 prior to 6 a.m. a few miles south of Chadron. According to the Nebraska State Patrol a group of motorcyclists were traveling together when deer were struck by three of them after they wandered onto the roadway.

 

Deb Collins, a spokeswoman for the Nebraska State Patrol said that another one of the motorcyclists sustained minor injuries. The man who died in the incident has been identified as James Anderson, 53.

 

No other information was noted in the report regarding whether any other person was injured.
