Miami – A shooting reported at the home of rapper Lil Wayne has been determined to have been a hoax. As reported by WebProNews, early reports claimed that the rapper was not at his Miami home when a caller told Miami Beach Police that four people had been shot there.

A perimeter had allegedly been set up around the home following the call, but information about the purported shooting victims had not been released. Later, the claims were found to have been false by police who said that no shots were fired, nor was there a gunman found at the residence at all.

Police were called to Lil Wayne’s home previously after someone was reported lurking around by neighbors. No arrests were made at the time; however, because the person was on public property at the time police responded to the scene.
