U.S. – Apple Pay will soon be accepted as a payment option at more than 200,000 vending machines and parking stations. As reported by WebProNews, Apple and USA Technologies recently entered into a partnership that will expand the availability of the mobile payment as an option for more “self-service retail locations.”

Stephen P. Herbert, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of USA Technologies, is quoted in the report as stating of the change, “Our customers are excited to accept Apple Pay at the self-serve locations they operate.”

“We anticipate that the millions of consumers who frequent these locations will appreciate the convenience and security of using Apple Pay for their everyday purchases, and we believe that Apple Pay will help to drive additional sales for our customers,” Herbert further stated.

As noted in the report, other companies are in talks to add Apple Pay payment options this year including Chevron and Square.
