Marshawn Lynch accuser charged with making a false statement

Seattle – The woman who accused Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch of assault has now been accused of making false statements about the case. As reported by the Seattle Times, charges were recently filed against Jammie Lynn Ficarelli, 31, in connection with her claims that she had been assaulted by Lynch and her property was damaged during an incident stated to have taken place in August.

Investigators found that Lynch had been somewhere other than were the incident was said to have occurred at the time. Witnesses although claim that Ficarelli’s purported injuries were due to a fall.

If convicted on the misdemeanor charge of making a false statement to a public servant, Ficarelli could be fined $5,000 and receive up to one year in jail.
