New York – A man was beheaded after attaching a metal chain to a pole and wrapped the other end around his neck before pushing the gas pedal of his vehicle. As reported by the New York Post, the 51-year-old’s head was torn from his body in the suicide leaving a gruesome scene witnessed by passers by who called 911 to report what was initially believed to be an accidental crash. The man’s corpse was left lying in the street.
As noted in the report, authorities found surveillance video during an investigation into the incident leading to the discovery of what had actually occurred.
The incident occurred in the Bronx shortly after 9 am. The name of the man was being withheld at the time of the report, until his family has been notified.
