3 Firefighters Injured in Training Accident at Former Military Ocean Terminal

Bayonne, NJ — A training accident at the former Military Ocean Terminal injured one Hoboken and two Bayonne firefighters Wednesday morning, March 21, 2012 at around 10:30 a.m., reported NJ.com.

According to reports, one firefighter sustained a leg injury, while another injured their hand. A third firefighter injured his back when a cement block collapsed.

Details surrounding the training accident and how exactly it occurred are unknown at this time.

The injured firefighters were taken to Bayonne Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Their current conditions are unknown at this time.

The identities of the firefighters involved in the accident have not been released.

Bayonne police and firefighters and Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police are investigating.
