Florida – Republican State Rep. Charles Van Zant has made an assertion that the “Common Core” education initiative will turn children gay. As reported by ABC News, controversial comments made by Van Zant about the Obama administration backed education standard at an Orlando education conference in March recently went viral.

Van Zant is quoted as stating to the audience that the implementers of the Common Core in Florida, the American Institutes for Research (AIR), “will promote double-mindedness in state education and attract every one of your children to become as homosexual as they possibly can.”

Other comments were also made by Van Zant including, “Please go on their website, click the link to what they’re doing with youth and you will see what their agenda really is… They are promoting as hard as they can any youth that is interested in the LGBT agenda.”
