New York – A woman was found dead following a shooting in a New York nail salon in a possible domestic violence incident. A reported by NJ.com, a man was also found in a parking lot nearby according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
As noted in the report, the woman had been shot in the face in the incident at Solo Nails last week. The owner of the salon was pistol-whipped during the attack. The man found dead later reportedly had a history of domestic violence. Authorities were still investigating the circumstances of the attack at the time of the report.
Vanessa Rodriquez, who works at the AT&T store across from the salon, is quoted in the report as stating of being in shock over the attack, “Of all the people… she was very popular around here.”
