Massachusetts – A Massachusetts teen indicted for murder has also been accused of raping the popular high school math teacher he has been charged with killing. As reported by ABC News, Danvers High School student Phillip Chism, 14, was charged with the murder of 24-year-old Colleen Ritzer after her body was found with her throat slashed in a wooded area near the school last month.
An indictment was released Friday which charged Chism with murder, armed robbery, and aggravated rape. According to Essex County District Attorney Jonathon Blodgett, Chism stole items from Ritzer after the attack and murder.
Blodgett is quoted by ABC News as stating, “The indictments returned today detail horrific and unspeakable acts… This is the first step in a long process to secure justice for Ms. Ritzer and her family.”
