Utah – The mistress of a Utah doctor accused in the killing of his wife recently testified that they pretended to be married while they were both incarcerated. As reported by Good Morning America, Gypsy Willis purported that she continued the relationship with Dr. Martin MacNeill because she was lonely.

Willis and MacNeill were convicted in 2009 on charges of fraud in connection with bank accounts opened with the social security number of MacNeill’s adopted daughter.

Willis is quoted in the report as stating on the stand, “I found myself in prison as a result of being with this guy and that was terrifying to me.”

MacNeil is now facing unrelated first-degree murder and obstruction of justice charges for the 2007 death of his wife Michele MacNeill.
