Lake Powell boat crash leaves one dead

Utah – One person died and two others were reportedly missing following a boat crash on Lake Powell. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Adrian Jackman, 59, was driving a motorboat when he attempted to swerve to avoid running into a moving houseboat, but flipped the watercraft after hitting it.

Jackman’s wife Marilyn, 57, was killed in the accident and his daughter Jessica Jackman, 22, and his son’s girlfriend, Valerie Rae Bradshaw, 29 are stated to be missing in the water.

There were 13 passengers on board the motorboat, all stated to be related. No one on the houseboat was reportedly injured.

Investigations into the accident are ongoing.
