As early as 2014, when the industrial hemp industry began to recover, CBD generated millions of dollars in sales. Although many skeptics believe that consumer interest in hemp-derived CBD products will eventually fade, by the end of 2020, the global CBD market is worth close to US$3 billion. Experts now predict that the annual growth rate between 2021 will exceed 21% and 2028.1
In 2021 alone, as many adults report using CBD for the first time, the number of licensed cannabis growers in the United States has increased by 27%. 2 Now that consumer demand is so strong, analysts believe that by 2023, the US CBD market may be worth US$3 billion. 3As the popularity of CBD continues to increase in a society known for its relatively short attention span, you may find it interesting to see some of the many reasons why CBD is so popular.
How does the CBD industry expand rapidly? Is CBD a new discovery?
Although CBD appears to be a relatively new discovery, the scientific community has been studying the health potential of cannabidiol (CBD) and other cannabis components for decades. But even the most proficient cannabis experts can only speculate on how they work or why they seem to be helpful for so many seemingly unrelated problems. This changed in the early 1990s.
At that time, cannabis researchers discovered a previously unknown regulatory system that apparently responded to CBD and other cannabinoids, the endocannabinoid system (ECS). When the federal government approved a pilot program to evaluate how cannabis cultivation can benefit American farmers, 4 our population seemed very willing to participate in conversations about the health and wellness potential of non-toxic cannabis-derived products.
Why is there more and more interest in hemp-derived CBD products?
Although most of the evidence supporting the use of hemp-derived CBD is based on laboratory reports, animal studies, and a few clinical trials, interest in hemp-derived CBD continues to grow. Is consumer acceptance of hemp-derived CBD products inevitable? possible.
Some sources seem to indicate that CBD products are popular because there are so many ways the body absorbs cannabinoids.Tinctures, topical medicines, gummies, And more. Others believe that federal legalization and the resulting increase in product availability. Although both may contribute, there are several other possibilities that explain the growing interest in cannabis-derived health and wellness products.
Consumers’ interest in natural health
With the widespread use of prescription drugs and over-the-counter drugs, most people believe that the treatments produced by pharmaceutical companies are safer and more effective than natural remedies. Consumers today are more skeptical. Many people choose natural alternatives instead of drugs when possible.According to the results of a 2019 survey, most respondents who were asked about natural remedies thought Plant-derived alternatives are safer (74%), more affordable (66%) and more readily available (56%) than prescription drugs. 5
Hemp is a sustainable crop that is earth-friendly
CBD is extracted from the stems, stems and flowers of industrial hemp crops, which can be grown without destroying the earth.Different from many othersAgricultural products, Compared with other crops used in fabrics, textiles and extracts, hemp requires much less water. Hemp crops also have natural resistance to pests. This means that CBD comes from plants that can grow without chemical pesticides, herbicides and fungicides, which can damage the ecosystem and harm the environment. 6,7
CBD is non-toxic and not addictive
Due to the high risk of chemical dependence, many doctors avoid prescribing certain medications. Many patients are reluctant to use them. When looking for holistic therapies or natural alternatives, quite a few people are attracted to hemp-derived CBD products because of their very low risk of side effects.otherTry CBD for the first timeAfter learning that cannabinoids do not bind to receptors in the brain related to poisoning or chemical dependence. 8
Who are people who add CBD to their daily lives? Why do they use CBD products?
according toCBD Insider 2021 U.S. CBD Consumer Report, Almost one in three adults (32.7%) have tried at least one CBD product. The report also shows that more people know CBD from family and friends than any other source (34.4%), and women are slightly more likely to use CBD than men (53.7% vs. 46.1%). Approximately 65% ??of people have used CBD products for at least one year, and 2 out of every 5 CBD users are 45 years of age or older. 9
A survey conducted on behalf of CBDistillery® showed similar results, with more than 55% of survey respondents having tried CBD. Among the remaining participants who did not participate, nearly half (47%) said they were open to trying CBD in the future. Although every CBD user is different, our survey respondents reported several fairly compelling reasons for using their favorite hemp-derived CBD products.
Stress affects everyone differently. For some people, increased stress levels can cause physical symptoms, frequent headaches, fatigue, or digestive problems. Others reported feeling increasingly nervous or overwhelmed. 10 When stress levels rise, many people turn to wine, alcohol or comfort foods for short-term relief. According to the feedback of nearly 2000 respondents, 73% of people prefer CBD to relaxing with wine, 76% prefer alcohol, and most people prefer CBD to meditation (82%) and yoga (79%). This is a well-known stress-reducing activity.
Many people are struggling to get the amount of sleep they need to wake up feeling refreshed, energetic, and ready to start a new day. Some people lose valuable sleep time every week because they have difficulty relaxing and drowsy at the end of the day; others often wake up all night. According to the results of our internal survey, 9 out of 10 respondents said that CBD helps them sleep better.According to the results of our sleep study in 2021, 72% of people agree (somewhat sure) our 600 mg Sleep Synergy CBN + CBD Oil Tincture Better than any other sleep aid they have tried before.
Discomfort after physical activity
The pain and stiffness that many people feel after strenuous exercise is usually caused by microscopic damage to muscle fibers. Although it is necessary to help build strength and endurance, it may take several days to recover. When the body has no time to heal, unresolved inflammation can cause lasting damage. Among the nearly 2,000 CBD users who responded to our survey, 84% reported that CBD helps relieve pain, stiffness and inflammation caused by activities, and 90% told us that they prefer CBD to turmeric The role of turmeric is a supplement commonly used for exercise recovery. 11
Mild or temporary anxiety
Your brain is very sensitive to anything in the environment that makes you feel threatened. Your heart rate will increase, your muscles will become tense, and your breathing will change in a way that prepares your body for battle or flight. Whether the cause of your pain is directly in front of you or at some point in the future, the impact will be the same. Based on feedback from our nearly 2,000 CBD users, 89% of survey participants told us that CBD helps calm them down. An impressive 88% also told us that hemp-derived CBD can help relieve mild or temporary anxiety.
How long does it take for CBD to work?
CBD works by interacting with the receptors of the regulatory system that cannabis researchers identified decades ago, the endocannabinoid system. Since CBD mimics the effects of cannabinoids, endocannabinoids anandamide and 2-AG that are produced in your body on demand, it helps to transmit emergency signals to your ECS receptors. The result of this interaction depends on which basic processes of ECS function regulation may be restored to equilibrium (steady state) through ECS support.
Although many people report good results the first time they take CBD, you may need to be patient. Everyone is different. Although it may take some time for your system to respond, most of our survey participants reported good results within 7-14 days of continuous use.
