29 students taken to hospital following Houston ISD school bus accident

Houston, TX – A Houston ISD school bus accident resulted in 29 students and five adults being taken to the hospital to be examined for injuries. As reported by the Houston Chronicle, the crash occurred while the Crespo Elementary students were being taken on a field trip.

 

The accident happened outside of Old MacDonald's Farm, which is a petting zoo that is frequently visited by area schools. Sherry Key with Old MacDonald's Farm, reportedly said that the school bus was rear-ended by a sedan near the farm.

 

None of the injuries sustained by the students or adults were reportedly life threatening.

 

All 34 of the individuals taken to the hospital were stated to have been in good condition and discharged from Memorial Hermann Hospital Northeast the same afternoon.
