Dallas, Texas – Two people were injured after the car they were traveling in crashed into the beam of a Dallas bridge. CBSDFW.com reported that the Dallas police and fire departments extricated the driver from the vehicle following the early morning crash.

Officials were called to the scene at Commerce Street at North Stemmons Freeway around 2 am. An adult female passenger was found conscious in the vehicle, but the driver had to be extricated.

Both individuals were reportedly transported to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries was not known at the time of the report.

Investigators were still trying to make a determination of how the car crashed into the beam after leaving the main roadway at the time of the report.
