Houston, TX – Several people were injured in a recent traffic crash southwest of Houston when an SUV rolled over during a police chase. The sports utility vehicle being pursued was believed to have been carrying immigrants from Honduras and Guatemala, Reuters reported.  The accident occurred in Edna, which is approximately 100 miles from Houston.

The rear seat of the SUV had been folded down and someone had removed the middle seat so that there was additional room for passengers according to police.

Police also stated, “The vehicle rolled, or flipped, multiple times, ejecting a number of the occupants.”

Four of the six people killed were pronounced dead at the scene. The other two died at a hospital they were subsequently taken to.
