Woman’s body found during Houston car wreck investigation

Houston, TX – The body of a woman was discovered by Houston police during an investigation of a rollover truck crash. Click2Houston reported that the body of the woman was found in a wooded area near the Katy Freeway where the truck that was involved in the accident stopped after rolling over.

Police say the woman may have been hit by the vehicle while it was rolling over. The identity of the woman was pending notification to family members at the time of the report. The area where she was found is a homeless camp.

Houston police Officer D. Stark stated “It has been confirmed that she is homeless. She lives in the area. She camps out here.”

Stark further stated of wounds found on the woman’s body “We won't know for sure what kind of wounds they are until the medical examiner gets here and move the body and look closer.”

The driver’s condition was unknown and the crash remained under investigation at the time of the report.
