New York – Music streaming service Pandora is reportedly set to begin selling ad-free music day passes to subscribers. As reported by WebProNews, those who opt in for the service will not be committed to the $5 monthly charge for constant ad-free listening.
Pandora is reportedly still in the process of determining what pricing will be for the alternative option. Some have speculated early on that the cost for the day pass could be $.99.
Pandora released a statement saying, “Pandora is committed to delivering an effortless, personalized experience and we recognize some consumers may want an ad-free experience but don’t necessarily want to commit to a subscription. This offering will allow consumers to choose and explore what is right for them or suits a particular event or experience. Pricing and exact timing are yet to be determined but we expect it to be available later this year.”
