Los Angeles – Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar recently expressed her disinterest in reprising her role as “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” As reported by WebProNews, Gellar stated in a recent interview that she would not be interested in playing the character again on television or in film.

Gellar is quoted as stating, “I joke that I’d have to have a walker and my walker would be made of wood, and that would be how I would stake people, at this point, I’m a little old.”

She also stated of maintaining relationship with her former cast members of the cult classic, “We have [reunions] all the time…They’re just not televised.”

When addressing the notion of her playing Buffy on the big screen Gellar further stated, “People forget, [the original] Buffy was a failed movie. Buffy didn’t work as a movie, it worked as a long-arc television show where you could follow this journey. We spent all of our first year going, ‘Yes, we know we’re based on a failed movie, but we’re different. And so it just seems counter-productive to go back. It didn’t work the first time.”
