U.S. – McDonald’s recently launched a new campaign giving away free food to customers who display an act of “lovin” as compensation. As reported by WebProNews, during the Pay with Lovin” campaign, which began early this month, customers will be randomly selected to show love to others via phone calls to loved ones, etc. instead of using cash for their food purchases.

Deborah Wahl, who is chief marketing manager for McDonald’s USA, is quoted as stating of the campaign, “We’re on a journey of transformation and a key part of that journey is how we engage with our customers. Pay with Lovin’ is a direct way for us to engage with our customers. We believe that a little more Lovin’ can change a lot.”

As noted in the report, 100 customers will be selected everyday over a 12-day period.

Customers who are chosen are being encouraged to share their news with pictures on social media.
