Virginia – As more business entities consider adopting Apple Pay, the payment product is expected to have a big year. As reported by WebProNews, banks in the UK are among the latest institutions stated to consider employing the alternative payment method as it grows in popularity.

A recent report by The Telegraph is quoted as stating, “Negotiations between the Silicon Valley giant and at least one of the biggest banks have proved tricky, however, because of wrangling over the terms, including what data Apple will be able to access, according to sources.”

New York City is also reportedly looking into allowing the possible use of Apple Pay and other methods for payment of parking tickets.

As stated by MarketWatch, “The city’s finance department is looking into alternative payment methods like Apple Pay, PayPal and Bitcoin for the roughly $600 million in parking ticket revenue it collects annually by issuing up to 10 million tickets.”
