New York – A scheduled “Today Show” appearance by actress Amy Adams was cut after she reportedly refused to discuss a Sony information leak about her pay on a major film. As reported by WebProNews, Adams was set to promote her new film “Big Eyes,” while in New York making appearances on other programs including “Saturday Night Live.”

A spokesperson for the show is quoted as stating of the matter to the Hollywood Reporter, “As a news program, the Today show doesn’t allow guests to put restrictions on interviews. In this case, after hours of discussion we felt uncomfortable with the demands being made, and we determined the best course of action for all parties involved was to cancel the interview.”

As noted in the report, in one of the hacked emails it was purportedly stated that Adams, along with another female co-star made less than their male co-stars in “American Hustle.”
