U.S. – Twitter is reportedly being surpassed by photo sharing social networking site Instagram when it comes to brand engagement. As reported by WebProNews, recent data from Socialbreakers shows that for 25 brands shown to be most actively engaged on both platforms engagement per post is 50 times higher on Instagram than on Twitter.

Socialbreakers is quoted as stating of their data, “Instagram gives brands an outlet for creative storytelling and engagement with tight communities of people who share a passion for the brands’ values.”

A previous Forrester study showed higher numbers for user engagement on Instagram when compared to Facebook as well.

As noted by WebProNews, Instagram now boasts over 300 million active users per month.
