Texas – A meteorologist in central Texas was shot multiple times outside of a television station. As reported by WebProNews, a man was in custody Wednesday following the shooting of Patrick Crawford in the parking lot of the KCEN station.

The man and Crawford reportedly exchanged words in the parking lot before the alleged gunman pulled out a hand gun, shot Crawford and fleed. The meteorologist is stated to have crashed his vehicle after managing to drive down the road and received help from construction workers.

Neither the suspect’s name or a motive has been released by police.

Trooper D.L. Wilson is quoted as stating of the ordeal, “Crawford was getting into his car this morning after leaving the building and the subject walked up to him and they had a confrontation… Whether they know each other or it’s a random shooting, we don’t know that yet.”
