New York – Model Beverly Johnson has alleged that embattled actor and comedian Bill Cosby drugged her in the past. As reported by WebProNews, Johnson’s accusation was written in a Vanity Fair piece, in which she also claims she doesn’t believe she was sexually assaulted in the incident, which purportedly occurred in the 1980s.
Johnson is quoted as stating of the incident, “He kept insisting to have this cappuccino, it’s the best coffee you’ll ever have, and so I relented and I took the coffee. And I took a sip of the coffee and I immediately felt strange and then I took another sip of the cappuccino and that drug was so powerful it just came on like a moving train, and I knew I had been drugged.”
The famous model, now 62, says Cosby put her in a cab after dragging her out of his home.
Cosby has been the focus of several recent media reports in which multiple women have alleged that they had been sexually assaulted by the star.
Johnson stated of her choice to come forward now, “It was the women that have come forward that gave me the courage to come forward…then to hear their stories that were very similar to mine, I knew that I had to say something.”
