Los Angeles – A man has received a jail sentence for stealing a piece of the Porsche involved in the crash that killed actor Paul Walker. As reported by CBSLA.com, Anthony Edward Janow, 26, received 6 months jail time and three years probation after pleading no contest to multiple charges in connection with the incident.

Police charged Janow and co-defendant Jameson Brooks Witty, 19 in the theft of a roof panel that was taken from a tow truck carrying the wreckage from the crash while it was stopped at a red light.

Both had been told prior by a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy that they were not permitted to take any pieces from the wrecked vehicle.

The crash that killed Walker, 40, and the driver, Roger Rodas, 38, occurred on November 30 of last year.
