Florida – Former Orlando Police Department Chief Paul Rooney admitted during testimony for a gender-discrimination lawsuit that he participated in “milk runs,” during which he and other officers cruised the streets searching for women who were attractive. As reported by the Orlando Sentinel, the former police chief, who resigned from the position after three years in February, gave a sworn deposition for the case in June.

Rooney is quoted as stating in his admission, “After lunch, we would drive down Orange Avenue and look at the females walking up and down the sidewalk.”

The lawsuit filed against Rooney last year by OPD Sgt. Rhonda Huckelbery alleges gender, age and disability discrimination. As noted in the report, the case is set for trial next month.
