Brooke Shields discusses troubled marriage in memoir

Los Angeles – Actress Brooke Shields revealed in her memoir that her former husband Andre Agassi once flew into a jealous fit of rage and destroyed several trophies he had won. As reported by WebProNews, Shields detailed the incident in There Was A Little Girl: The Real Story of Mother and Me, saying Agassi became enraged over a scene during her appearance on the hit television show FRIENDS.

According to the memoir, Agassi stormed away from the soundstage while Shields and Matt le Blanc were filming a scene that called for her character to lick le Blanc’s fingers. Shields is quoted as writing of the incident, “Upon arrival he systematically smashed and destroyed every single trophy he had won, including Wimbledon and the US Open.”

Shields also revealed in the book that Agassi admitted to her that had a crystal meth addiction after they were married.

Shields and Agassi married in 1997 and divorced after two years.
