California – Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel says the company will soon launch disappearing ads. As reported by The Wall Street Journal, Spiegel recently commented about the plans at the Vanity Fair New Establishment Summit in San Francisco.

Spiegel is quoted in the report as stating during an interview, “We’re cutting through a lot of the new technology stuff around ads to sort of the core of it, which I think has always been telling a story that leaves people with a new feeling… They’re not fancy. You just look at it if you want to look at it, and you don’t if you don’t.”

Investors recently valued Snapchat at $10 billion. The ads will reportedly be the first revenue source for the three-year-old company.
