Georgia – A 17-year-old student in Georgia was shot and killed following a high school football game. As reported by WSB-TV, the shooting death occurred following the homecoming game for Langston Hughes High School on Friday.

As noted in the report, friends of Kristofer Hunter say the alternative school student attended to the game to visit old friends. Police were called to a shooting in the parking lot of the school around 10 p.m., according to Fulton County school officials. Hunter was found still alive when authorities arrived, but died after being taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Khyra Perry, a friend of the teen, is quoted in the report as stating of Hunter, “Kris was a great person, a loving person. He never hurt anybody… Everybody is going to remember about him his smile. He had the perfect smile.”

The shooting remains under investigation. Information about a suspect has yet to be released.
