Actress dies after being struck by tree

Chicago – Actress Molly Glynn, who had a recurring role on “Chicago Fire,” has been killed in a tragic bicycle accident. As reported by WebProNew, the actress died of her injuries after being taken to Evanston Hospital in Chicago.

Glynn, 46, was reportedly bicycling with her husband on the Forest Preserve Trail in Erickson Woods when she was struck in the head by a falling tree.

Gynn’s husband, actor Joe Foust, is quoted as writing of his wife on his Facebook page following the accident, “Friends, this is the darkest day of my life. Things will never be the same. Molly got hit by a falling tree while we were biking. At hospital now. Prognosis is grim.”

Michael Halberstam, artistic director of Writers Theatre in Chicago, released a statement after news of Gynn’s death saying, “She was a loving mother and wife and everyone who met her fell in love with her… She possessed a rare combination of talent, heart and beauty in all aspects of her life.”
