Nevada – A woman was struck and killed by a bus at the annual Burning Man festival on Thursday. As reported by the NY Daily News, police said 29-year-old Alicia Louise Cipicchio, was pronounced dead at the scene “after falling under a large vehicle.”

Details about how Cipicchio was hit had not yet been made available at the time of the report.

As noted in the report, Burning Man is a yearly event that is attended by 60,000 plus people from all over the world.

Burning Man co-founder Marian Goodell is quoted in the report as stating of the incident, “This is a terrible accident…Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and campmates.”
