Dominican Republic – The Sept. 13 concert that was set to be put on by Miley Cyrus in the Dominican Republic has been banned. As reported by People, the nation’s government commission that overseas performances put on in public recently stated that it took the action due to issues of morality.

The commission is quoted as releasing a statement saying Cyrus “undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law.”

Cyrus has received criticism over some of the antics associated with her recent concert performances, which some have labeled as inappropriate.

Tickets for her concert went on sale in the capital in July, as noted in the report.
