Italy – Reports have surfaced that Amanda Knox had a sexual relationship with a cocaine dealer arrested for attempting to kill his brother, whom he stabbed 16 times. As reported by The Telegraph, the information was revealed in an Italian news publication, which is stated to have quoted police reports.

Knox was convicted in 2009, along with former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, in the murder of her former roommate UK student Meredith Kercher. Kercher was stabbed to death in 2007 in Perugia.

Knox and Sollecito were released from prison in 2011 after an Italian court overturned their convictions. Italy’s supreme court set aside the ruling of the appellate court and ordered that they be tried again. The two were again found guilty on January 30, 2014.

The recent claims by Italian crime magazine Giallo about the drug dealer whom Knox supposedly had a relationship with have surfaced as she is set to make an appeal to the top court in Italy against her 28-year conviction. Prosecutors and attorneys have stated that the new information would not be considered at the final appeal hearings for Knox or Sollecito.
