California – Actor Kelsey Grammer recently testified at the parole hearing of the man who killed his sister decades ago. As reported by The Denver Post, speaking via video conference, Grammer said he forgave inmate Freddie Glenn, but did not want him to be released from prison.

Glenn was convicted in the 1975 murders of Karen Elisa Grammer, whom he also raped after kidnapping her from her job, and two men in separate incidents. He is currently serving a life sentence at the Buena Vista Correctional Facility. He received life after his initial sentence of death was commuted due to Colorado’s death penalty subsequently being overturned.

Grammer is quoted by The Denver Post as stating during his testimony, “I want to believe you have actually changed your life… Things you say, I accept a lot of it.”

The actor further stated after receiving an apology from Glenn, “I accept your apology. I forgive you. However, I cannot give your release my endorsement. To give that a blessing would be a betrayal of my sister’s life.”
