Arkansas – A missing father and son have been found dead, authorities say. As reported by CBS News, the bodies of the father and his 10-month old son were found in the Ouachita Mountains in a remote area on Tuesday.

The wife of the deceased man 33-year-old Brian Floyd, and mother of the child, Harper Floyd, was in jail at the time of the discovery after being charged with endangering the welfare of a minor. Brooke Floyd had been seen with her husband hours prior to being found walking alone on a remote road. She was arrested over the weekend.

Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the two deaths.

Yell County Sheriff Bill Gilkey is quoted as stating during a news conference of the discovery of the bodies, “It’s not the outcome we certainly had hoped for and our prayers and thoughts go out to the families involved.”
