New Jersey – A judge has given a tenant leasing the home of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars Melissa and Joe Gorga permission to stay additional time amid an eviction process. As reported by The Star-Ledger, Superior Court Judge Thomas Manahan gave approval for Kai Patterson to remain in the home for 17 more days on the grounds that a $25,000 payment be made.

The Gorgas have been attempting to evict Patterson, claiming he has failed to make payments in accordance with their lease to purchase agreement for the mansion. The total purchase price for the home is stated to be $3.8 million.

Patterson has claimed that the dispute between he and the reality stars began after he paid thousands of dollars for repairs, citing there were numerous issues with the state of the mansion.

An attorney for the Gorgas say the couple is now owed $185,000 from Patterson.
