Los Angeles – “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Vanderpump has been ordered to pay $100,000 to a former employee in a sexual harassment lawsuit. As reported by The Hollywood Gossip, the reality star’s restaurant Villa Blanca was ordered liable for punitive damages in connection with former waitress Karina Bustillos’ complaint that she was manhandled by restaurant manager Michael Govia.

Vanderpump’s attorney is quoted by TMZ as stating of the case, “We are in absolute shock at the amount of punitive damages that were awarded. Especially in light of nominal compensatory damages awarded and the lack of sufficient evidence. We plan to immediately file an appeal and are confident that we will prevail.”

Bustillos was also previously awarded $6,250 in compensatory damages by a jury, which also found that the restaurant acted with malice. The determination allowed her attorneys to pursue punitive damages in the case.
