Pennsylvania – A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit against puppeteer Kevin Clash, who for 28 years worked as the voice of Sesame Street’s Elmo. As reported by Reuters, U.S. District Judge Christopher Conner in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, dismissed the suit filed against Clash by a man claiming he had begun a sexual relationship with him at age 16.

The judge ruled that the statute of limitations for filing the case in New York had run out. A judge in New York also previously dismissed three other cases from men who claimed Clash had sexually abused them as minors.

Clash resigned from his job on the international children’s television series in 2012, after the accusations were brought against him.

The lawsuit dismissed on Thursday was filed last year.
