Pennsylvania – Amazon.com Inc. is now being investigated following the deaths of two workers at its warehouses. As reported by Bloomberg, the U.S. Department of Labor recently stated that it was investigating the deaths of one man who was crushed to death at a New Jersey facility in 2013, and another that occurred June 1 in Pennsylvania.

As noted in the report, the investigations add to labor issues affecting the company amid its plans to open new facilities across the globe. Amazon, which is based in Seattle has received criticism from labor unions and others over treatment of its employees, and other concerns.

Amazon is quoted in the report as saying of the recent probe into the workers deaths in a statement, “Any accident that occurs in a facility is one too many and we take these matters seriously.”
