Man accused of attacking mothers pushing strollers in Chicago

Chicago – Prosecutors have charged a man accused of attacking women pushing strollers near their homes in Far North Side Chicago. As reported by the Chicago Tribune, the man, Hassan Flowers, 25, was arrested after being subdued by two men who heard cries for help from the second victim.

Both attacks occurred Monday morning. Flowers allegedly knocked one of the women to the ground and attempted to rape her before the men came to her rescue. He has been charged with attempted criminal sexual assault, battery, and aggravated battery.

According to Assistant State’s Attorney Beth Novy, the day prior to the attacks Monday, Flowers had also attacked a woman he followed into a restroom. She reportedly began screaming and he ran away.
