Minneapolis – A man who was ticketed after swerving to miss a pothole in the road says he now plans to challenge the citation. As reported by Fox 9 News, the Rosemount driver says he was issued a ticket for failing to stay in his lane after trying to avoid the road hazard in an area where the pothole problem is prominent.

Allen Moe is quoted as stating in the news report in recalling the incident, “I swerved just to get around the potholes and then I came back into my lane… After I went through the stop light, he stopped me.”

Multiple vehicles captured by Fox 9 News cameras were stated to be shown swerving in different directions to avoid hitting potholes in the community. Rosemount Mayor Bill Droste, who even chimed in on the issue, is quoted in the report as stating, “That’s what I do when I drive down this street… It deteriorated so quickly here this winter that you have to drive around potholes.”
