Italy – Amanda Knox is accused of having delivered the fatal blow that killed her roommate Meredith Kercher in 2007. As reported by BBC News, the Italian judges who reinstated the guilty verdict against Knox asserted Kercher was killed by Knox following a violent argument.

Knox and her former boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, were both convicted of murdering Kercher in 2007 and subsequently acquitted on appeal in 2011. Their acquittal was overturned early this year.

Knox released a statement on Tuesday saying the Italian court’s reasoning was “not supported by any credible evidence or logic.” She and Sollecito are expected to appeal the latest decision of the court, sending the trial back to Italy’s highest court, the Court of Cassation.”
