Montana – The Montana Supreme Court has ordered that Billings personal injury lawyer Solomon Neuhardt receive a public censure due to misconduct. As reported by the Billings Gazette, Neuhardt has been directed by the court order to appear in Helena on April 29 for the censure. The disciplinary action is a step below being disbarred.

Neuhardt has been disciplined three times prior for complaints, including receiving another public censure in 2011. The most recent action stems from a complaint that he engaged in a conflict of interest when he represented a couple during a 2007 drug investigation.

The court’s order is quoted as stating, “The Court is concerned by Neuhardt’s display, even at the hearing before the Commission, of an inability to appreciate the existence of even a potential for conflict in his representation of both Christenson and Vasquez, in what suggests a pattern of his lack of understanding of the rules governing a lawyer’s conduct.”
