South Bend, Indiana – A University of Notre Dame student was arrested after allegedly making an attempt to break into a South Bend business downtown. As reported by WSBT 22 news, police say they found 19-year-old Brian McCurren passed out after responding to a burglar alarm at Therapeutic Indulgence on Jefferson Blvd Sunday morning.

Police say McCurren attempted to break in multiple ways, and dug through drywall with a hammer to get into the main building. McCurren had also reportedly used a microwave to warm up several Hot Pockets and had something cooking in the oven when he was found.

According to the report, the owner of the business says several thousand dollars worth of damage was done in the incident.

McCurren has been charged with burglary, vandalism and underage drinking.
