Los Angeles – The mother of pop singer Ke$ha opened up about her daughter’s eating disorder in a recent interview. As reported by ABC News Blogs, Pebe Sebert told People Magazine that her daughter nearly died from her condition.

Sebert is quoted as stating that she “watched my beautiful, self-confident, brilliant daughter be berated and ridiculed for her looks and weight to the point that she almost died.”

She further said to the magazine, “The doctors told me her blood pressure and sodium levels were so low, they’d never seen it that low except with someone who’d had a heart attack or stroke. They said it was a miracle she hadn’t already dropped dead on stage.”

Ke$ha checked herself into a rehab facility two weeks ago to deal with her eating disorder. She released a statement early this month saying she would be going there for 30 days.
