Nashville – Pilot Flying J is still facing lawsuits despite a purported “global settlement” having been reached. As reported by USA Today, the lawsuits stem from rebate fraud charges brought against the travel center chain.

A reported 31 lawsuits were filed against the company following a raid of its headquarters last year. Pilot sales executives were accused of reducing trucker rebates. Pilot Flying J, which was ranked by Forbes magazine as the sixth largest privately held company in the US in 2012, operates over 650 locations.

An Arkansas judge resolved 11 of the cases, which were consolidated, in November. Others were also resolved in separate negotiations. Lawyers for Pilot Flying J are seeking to consolidate those that remain, which are scattered across multiple states.
