Four stabbed, man arrested outside Denver NFL stadium

Denver, Co – A man was arrested on suspicion of stabbing four people in a parking lot outside of the stadium where the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers were playing on Thursday. As reported by Reuters, the man, Justin Manzanares, 29, was held on multiple counts of aggravated assault following a knife fight that took place near the Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

As noted in the report, police believe the altercation stemmed from a traffic incident that escalated. Three of the persons stabbed purportedly sustained non-life threatening injuries. A fourth person believed to have also been stabbed had not yet been located by police at the time of the report after leaving the area.

Denver police Sergeant Steve Warneke is quoted in the report as stating, “It doesn’t appear that this was related to the outcome of the game.”
