New Jersey – A New Jersey family dining at the Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, N.J reportedly denied a tip to a waitress because of her sexual orientation. As reported by ABC News, Dayna Morales, who works as a server at the restaurant claims she was left a note by the family saying they refused to leave the tip because they disagreed with her lifestyle, although she never mentioned to them that she was gay.

Morales is quoted in the report as stating to the ABC News station WABC-TV about what had been written on the $93.55 bill, “It says, ‘I’m sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle and how you live your life.”

She is further quoted as stating of the incident, “I was rather offended, mad… I didn’t know how to react to that. I never thought that would ever happen.”

Morales sent a picture of the receipt to the Facebook page “Have a Gay Day. It has since reportedly drawn over 2,000 comments.
