Los Angeles – Actor Charlie Hunnam has reportedly dropped out of the film Fifty Shades of Grey. As reported by Us Weekly, Hunnam is set to be replaced in the lead role in the upcoming film adaptation due to his schedule.

Universal Pictures and Focus Features are quoted in the report as releasing the statement regarding the cast change, “The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.”

Hunnam, 33, was set to play Grey in the erotic role opposite actress Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele in the highly anticipated film. The Sons of Anarchy star announced he would be taking on the lead role last month.
